I'm having a hard time commenting on this because the longer I look the more I see
Now I see the girl's reflection in the water. The white is the sun reflecting, which causes her right eye, nose and cheek (the part we can see) to be in shadow. The warm breeze is rippling the water, causing the reflections to dance and sparkle... part of her very long hair is tossed about by the wind and lazily floats in the water...

The shadow on the right is from her boyfriend. She is so happy she is just looking down to savor the moment before she looks back up to say, "I love you."
This is amazing!! It's so simple, but so well done. The anatomy, the facial expression, and the more neutral hues are so quiet and pensive that they almost make the viewer take the elegance of the design for granted, but the subtle purple colors make it seem just a little too wild and organic to pass over as something simple. It's hard to describe - this isn't one of those masterpieces with lots of symbolism and symbolic meaning and all that, but it's like one of those pieces that isn't supposed to be famous, because it feels so much like a part of my own self, a personal, soft-but-wild part. Did I mention that I really really really love this?!
